Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman gave attendees at friend Crystal Meers’ wedding on Saturday, March 19, no indication there was trouble in paradise. Sources tell Us Weekly the estranged spouses — who are splitting after three years of marriage — looked happier than ever at the Ojai, California, nuptials.
“They looked really happy together,” an insider tells Us of the now exes. “They seemed perfectly happy.”
A second source who was at wedding tells Us that they’re “shocked” the parents of Olive, 3, and Frankie, 23 months, are calling it quits.
“They seemed totally fine,” the eyewitness adds. “Both were really friendly to everyone and he had his arm around her at the reception."
Despite being amicable, the two have parted ways.
During a November 2015 chat with Us Weekly, the E.T. alum admitted they get into tiffs like any other couple.
"I think a good place to start is when a significant other points things out that are tough for them and they are things that you're willing to change in your life," Barrymore told Us of her secrets to a successful marriage. "If you really said, 'Why am I fighting for this?' Start with those. My husband used to tell me, 'I hate that we're always racing to the airport. It's like an anxiety attack.' And I thought, Yeah, why am I fighting for that? I don't like anxiety, so now I pack the night before."
"My husband and I compromise on a lot of things like that,” she said at the time. “It’s the little things that you can change that can make the relationship stronger.”
