Elton John’s in his corner. On the eve of Bruce Jenner’s hugely anticipated 20/20 special with Diane Sawyer, the “Tiny Dancer” singer and his husband David Furnish applauded the former Olympian for opening up about his private life.
“It’s an incredibly brave thing to do, especially when you’re older,” John, 68, told Access Hollywood on Thursday, April 23. “I admire him for doing it and I support him 100 percent.”
Furnish, 52, added: “People should support him.”
As previously reported, Jenner, 65, is set to discuss his transition from male to female with the ABC News veteran on Friday, April 24. The network has released several teases leading up to the two-hour sit-down, which was filmed in February.
“What’s the question you would ask you?” Sawyer asks Jenner in the latest clip, posted Friday. Jenner replies: “‘Are you going to be okay?'”

Sawyer then asks: “Are you gonna be okay?” After a brief pause, he answers: “I hope I’m gonna be okay. I feel like I’m going to be okay. 2015 is going to be quite a ride. Quite a ride.”
