Eric Stonestreet Jokes: Charlize Theron Romance Rumors Are Making Halle Berry "Jealous" - Us Weekly

The rumor mill is really taking a toll on Eric Stonestreet's fantasy love life.

The Daily Mail reported on Sunday that the Modern Family star, 41, is now seeing Charlize Theron, 37, after being introduced "by mutual friends in Los Angeles earlier this year."

Though they have hung out at a couple of industry events, a source close to the Oscar winner told Us Weekly the rumors are false. Sunday morning, Stonestreet also took to Twitter to weigh in.

"I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating," the comedian, who recently split from longtime girlfriend Katherine Torkaz, wrote. "It's starting to make Halle Berry jealous."

Though new mom Theron (she adopted son Jackson this spring) casually dated Ryan Reynolds just before he started seeing his now-wife Blake Lively in 2011, her last serious relationship was with Stuart Townsend, whom she parted ways with in 2010 after almost ten years together.

Last December, she opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about making the most of her newly single life.

"I haven't been single since [I was] like 19," the Young Adult star said. "I've been in two relationships. One was ten years, and one was three years. Just like back to back."

"When I talk about it, it's not to get pity," she explained. "It's actually a nice experience for me because I haven't experienced it . . . I'm really enjoying it."
