Fresh off her split from husband Jamie Bell, and already Evan Rachel Wood is the subject of hookup rumors. The Facing the Wind actress returned to Twitter days after announcing her breakup to deny reports that she's now getting cozy with Fast and the Furious star Michelle Rodriguez.
"Looks like someone is already trying to start a rumor that I 'hooked up' with Michelle Rodriguez at 'an evening with women,'" Wood, 26, wrote on Friday, May 30. "I have never even said 'hello' to Michelle Rodriguez. I think its convenient someone chose to make up the story now and not that night."
"This is 'journalism' at its lowest. Complete lies made up to exploit a public separation, as if that isn't hard enough. Disgusting," the openly bisexual star continued. "Also, just because you are in a photo with someone doesn't mean you spoke or slept together. Really guys? Ok back to my twitter break." (The women both attended the Gay & Lesbian Center’s 2014 An Evening with Women event in Beverly Hills on May 10. Rodriguez, 35, also bisexual, was recently linked to model Cara Delevingne.)
Us broke news earlier this week that Wood and Bell, 28, amicably decided to split after nearly two years of marriage. "They both love and respect one another and will of course remain committed to co-parenting their son," a rep for the couple exclusively told Us in a statement. "This is a mutual decision and the two remain close friends."
The pair, who first met in 2004, welcomed their first child last July. They've yet to reveal the baby boy's name.
