Relationship goals? Not so fast. Despite reports, Bill Murray and indie rocker Jenny Lewis are not dating, a source tells Us Weekly.
It all started after Page Six reported that Lewis, 39, is 65-year-old Murray’s “special friend.”
The two partied together at the Rock the Kasbah premiere party at Good Units in New York City on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The site also reported that Lewis attended the Hamptons screening of Murray’s new film, and that the two were spotted together after at the Huntting Inn.
During the fete, the site reports, Murray took the stage and sang “Proud Mary,” and the Ghostbusters star later danced onstage to The Clash’s “Rock the Casbah” with the film’s screenwriter Mitch Glazer.
One thing that’s for sure, however, is that Murray was the life of the party. The actor’s costars Kate Hudson, Bruce Willis, and Zooey Deschanel were also in attendance, as well as Lady Gaga, Taylor Kinney, and Naomi Campbell.
During a chat with Howard Stern last year, the funnyman revealed why he doesn’t have a girlfriend. “Not to diminish a relationship with a woman but I can't take care of another relationship if I can't take care of the things I really need to take care of the most,” he explained. “It’s not a selfish thing…it’s just sort of an obligation.”
