Isla Fisher offered a rare glimpse into her dating life after her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.
“I have a dating ick that happened recently,” Fisher, 50, recalled in a Tuesday, September 1, clip from the Overheard Happy Hour TikTok account. “I liked somebody. His dog ran away and he chased his dog.”
Fisher then struggled to see the unnamed man in the same way.
“But instead of chasing upright, he ran low with his hands outstretched — like a cartoon,” she continued. “And the ick was growing and growing. By the time he caught the dog, he had lost the pussy.”
Fisher hasn’t spoken about her relationship status often since her split from Cohen, 54. The former couple were married 13 years — tying the knot in 2010 — before parting ways in 2023.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage,” read a statement shared in 2024. “We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
Fisher and Cohen, who share three kids, revealed in 2025 that their divorce was finalized.
“Our divorce has now been finalized. We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to coparenting our wonderful children,” the duo said in a joint statement at the time. “We ask for the media to continue to respect our children’s privacy.”
Before their split, Fisher and Cohen defended their decision to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
“I get nervous talking about it because I feel like, by not having my relationship in the public domain and not having spoken about how we met or really talked about our marriage publicly, it’s remained something private and valuable to me,” Fisher told The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2022. “I don’t know if that’s the secret.”
She added: “But having a shared ability to find humor in the sharpness of life is always going to bring connection. And, otherwise, I just think it’s nice to keep some things for yourself.”
Fisher has also discussed starting a new chapter in her life.
“Previously I was very much focused on my kids, which I still am, obviously, because [they’re] my true love,” Fisher told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024. “But I’m enjoying tackling work again.”
The actress acknowledged the “tough couple of years” she’d experienced, adding, “I’m making it through.”
