Janel Parrish and Chris Long have officially filed for divorce as she continues to tease her romance with Dancing With the Stars‘ Sasha Farber.
TMZ reported on Wednesday, April 29, that Parrish, 37, and Long, 41, filed a joint petition asking the court for a divorce. The legal documents noted that Parrish and Long agree on spousal support, division of property, legal fees and the date of separation.
News broke earlier this month that the pair had called it quits.
“Thank you all for the incredibly kind and supportive messages, they’ve truly meant the world,” Parrish wrote via Instagram on April 10. “After 10 beautiful years together, including seven years of marriage, Chris and I made the difficult decision to end our marriage.”
She continued: “There is still so much love and respect between us, and I’m deeply grateful for everything we built together. This chapter of my life, and Chris, will always mean so much to me. Thank you all again for the messages of love and support.”
Us Weekly confirmed at the time that Parrish and Long had been separated for a few months. They originally started dating in 2016 and got engaged the following year.
“Went to the park for a stroll with Klee and came back with a fiancé,” she wrote via Instagram in 2017. “I get to marry my best friend and I’m over the moon. I love you @c_long.”
Ahead of their nuptials, the actress reflected on how she knew Long was right for her.
“He just is my person. My soul knows him,” she exclusively told Us in August 2018. “He’s my best friend in the entire world. And no matter what, if I’m having the worst day ever, I feel like I have somebody who understands me. And even if he doesn’t quite understand me at that moment, he tries to. And that feels so nice.”
Parrish’s divorce made headlines as she was spotted spending more time with DWTS pro Farber, 41. The duo have repeatedly shared photos and videos of themselves dancing and getting cozy but haven’t spoken out directly about their relationship.
Parrish previously competed on Dancing With the Stars during season 19 with Val Chmerkovskiy in 2014, finishing in third place. Farber, for his part, appeared in the troupe that year.
Farber’s romance with Parrish comes after he was married to DWTS pro Emma Slater from 2018 to 2023. He then moved on with his DWTS celeb partner Jenn Tran, and the pair were linked from 2024 to 2025.
“I hate dating. But it takes, like, a sec, you got to meet the person. There’s a lot that goes into when you want to find someone special,” Farber said on the “Casual Chaos” podcast in January about DWTS showmances four months before sparking dating speculation. “[On the show], you’re just thrown in. ‘Let’s go. Hi, nice to meet you. OK, we are going to rub hips. We are going to dip. We are going to do this. I want to get in your face here. You have to really look at me.’”
