This is his Kinda Party! Jason Aldean and his fiancee Brittany Kerr spent Christmas Eve at his home outside of Nashville, Tenn., with his two daughters Keeley and Kendyl.
"Happy Holidays everybody!!!" the "Burnin' It Down" singer, 37, wrote Wednesday, Dec. 24 in an Instagram update. "Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from our family to yours."
In the photo, Kendyl, 7, and Keeley, 13, (Aldean's daughters with ex-wife Jessica Ussery) flank Kerr on both sides, while their country superstar father envelopes his girls from behind. All four look happy and cozy at home for their first Christmas together as a family unit.
Kerr also posted an Instagram photo from the family festivities, where she gave Keeley an affectionate smooch on the cheek. "Kisses for my sweetness," she wrote. "#merrychristmaseve #blessed."
This past June, Us Weekly reported that the girls were still getting used to Kerr, whom they considered an outsider. "Jason is working Brittany into Kendyl and Keeley's lives, yet they see her as the other woman," an insider told Us. "It's hard. They're important to him."
Their dad Aldean recently reflected back on his crazy year with Us Weekly, hinting that he was relieved that the buzz surrounding his relationship with the former NBA dancer had quelled.
"This year has been a good year for us," Aldean told Us on Dec. 2. "All of this… now [Brittany] can come out to shows and be normal. All the craziness around us has died down, and that's been the coolest thing about this year."
The chatter surrounding Aldean and Kerr's relationship started back in 2012 after the "Dirt Road Anthem" singer was caught kissing the American Idol contestant in an L.A. bar — all while he was still married to Ussery. In April 2013, Aldean filed for divorce, and this past September, he and Kerr got engaged.
What enraged Aldean most about the situation was how his affair could potentially affect his daughters.
"I'm pretty private," he told Billboard in September. "But over the last couple of years I've gotten that taken away from me, which kind of pissed me off. You know, my kids get on there and read all that. I'm not blaming anybody. Obviously, a lot of that stuff is my own deal."
