Is there a hot new man in her life? Khloe Kardashian went on a date with Rick Fox this past weekend, a source close to the reality star confirms to Us Weekly.
Kardashian, 30, was spotted with the former NBA player, 45, at Mexican hot spot Casa Vega in L.A.'s Sherman Oaks neighborhood on Friday, May 22. Multiple eyewitnesses that night tell Us that the two came in late and opted for a table rather than the bar. "It looked to be a fun date," one observer tells Us. "She seemed happy."
The Kardashian confidante tells Us that Kardashian and Fox have known each other for a while, spanning back to when the 6-foot-3 former Laker was dating actress Eliza Dushku. The insider says Kardashian, who dated rapper French Montana after her split from Lamar Odom, has a crush on Fox.
The pair may have had a few too many at Casa Vega — because Kardashian woke up the following morning utterly hungover from her night out. "Ugh my head….." she wrote via Instagram on Saturday morning, alongside a photo of herself in oversized sunglasses while clutching her head. "Hangovers are the worst… this flight to Dubai will be utilized well with this long ass nap I'm about to take… I look rough lol."
Like Kris Jenner's daughter, the former athlete also has a history of wooing fellow stars. Fox was married to Vanessa Williams for six years until the two divorced in 2005. He went on to date Bring It On actress Dushku for five years up until 2014. Fox told Us in January of that same year that he and Dushku had discussed marriage.
"We've been honest about that conversation, and we've had it," he said at the time. "I've failed in marriage before, and this will be her first marriage. So we want to make sure the foundation is laid in a responsible way where communication is had about what she wants from life as a woman — whether she wants to have kids or go back to school — whatever she wants to do."
Unfortunately, distance was to blame. "Rick's an L.A. guy and I'm a Boston girl," Dushku told The Boston Globe last June of her split. "Nobody in L.A. has a basement. They all have the obligatory storage spaces in the Valley."
