Coming clean. Khloe Kardashian revealed on Thursday, Nov. 12, that her family urged her to leave estranged husband Lamar Odom’s side.
“Just recently I’ve been in the hospital for almost three-and-a-half weeks straight, and finally everyone was saying, ‘Khloe, you have to get out of the hospital and do something that’s for you,’” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 31, told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “I had such anxiety going to the gym, but as soon as I left, I felt like, ‘Oh my God, I’m okay. I’m human again.’ I just felt so good. But for those three weeks, I didn’t think about the gym because I was thinking about other things, and I don’t beat myself up about it.”
Some have questioned Kardashian’s involvement with Odom’s medical care, and Kim Kardashian’s younger sister recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she’s fully aware of this.
“I’m there helping him and I love him and I’ve always loved him,” she told DeGeneres in an interview set to air on Monday, Nov. 16. “And that will never change. And I just feel like it’s a really insensitive thing to fast-forward a divorce.”
After the former NBA star, 36, was originally hospitalized on Tuesday, Oct. 13, a rep for the Los Angeles Supreme Court confirmed to Us Weekly the couple — who filed for divorce in December 2013 — was actually still married. Odom was hospitalized after he was found unconscious at legal brothel Love Ranch South after allegedly mixing herbal Viagra, cocaine, and alcohol.
“He’s a fantastic person who deserves love and support and for someone to be by his side, and for me, I’m that to him,” the reality star said. “And thank God I have a fantastic family who loves me and loves him just as much. And they’re so supportive.”
