Don’t mess with the KoKo or her family. Khloe Kardashian called out Jamie Foxx during an interview with Yahoo’s The Insider on Thursday, April 2, after the actor’s recent jokes about Bruce Jenner and his gender transition.
While hosting the iHeartRadio Music Awards this past Sunday, Foxx cracked: “We got some groundbreaking performances here, too, tonight. We got Bruce Jenner, who will be here doing some musical performances. He’s doing a his-and-her duet all by himself.”
The Django Unchained star later joked of the former Olympian: “Look, I’m just busting your balls… while I still can.”
Foxx was accused of transphobia for those jabs. Like many others, Khloe, 30, rushed to defend Bruce and ripped Katie Holmes‘ secret boyfriend for stirring up attention at her stepfather’s expense.
“I just think it’s a low blow,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Yahoo. “I think it’s very mean, but you know, I wish him all the best. It is what it is.”
She expressed particular disappointment because the Kardashian family has known Foxx for quite some time. “I just think — and I know Jamie, so I think that’s also why that’s a really low blow, but hey,” she continued. “Guess that’s what he felt the need to do for a little press.”
Khloe wasn’t the only family member who was peeved by Foxx’s roast-like monologue. Bruce’s eldest son Burt Jenner told TMZ on Sunday.
“I think he is just copying Kevin Hart because Kevin Hart is taking all his movie opportunities. He’s copying him — man’s on a roll and Jamie Foxx is on the way down,” Burt, the son of Chrystie Jenner, Bruce’s first wife, noted. “I would have charged the stage… If security got to me beforehand, I would’ve thrown something at him.”
