Recovering alcoholic Kim Richards was arrested early Thursday morning after an alleged drunken confrontation with a police officer, Us Weekly can confirm.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who relapsed during season five of the Bravo series after taking a pain pill, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. at the Beverly Hills Hotel after she reportedly drank too much.
According to Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, Richards, 50, appeared to have "had too much to drink and was disturbing some of the other patrons" in the hotel's restaurant. The troubled reality star was asked to leave by hotel security but refused. Upon finally agreeing to leave, Richards entered the hotel's bathroom where she then refused to come out of the restroom.
"Hotel security requested to make a Private Persons Arrest and BHPD officers entered the restroom and took her into custody," Hoshino tells Us. "She was passively resisting and she was taken into custody on Private Person Arrest." While being booked at the Beverly Hills Police station, Richards kicked an officer.
Richards, who has since been released and faces a June 11th court date and charges including public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer.
