Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have been spotted in Atlanta days after their son Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. was arrested for aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault.
In pictures obtained by Page Six, Kroy, 40, was seen picking up his 14-year-old son, Kash, from football practice at a fitness facility in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Saturday, August 22.
The retired NFL star wore a white T-shirt, black jeans and black shoes as he waited for his son.
One day later, Zolciak, 48, was photographed for the first time following KJ’s arrest. In pictures obtained by Page Six, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was seen driving her Range Rover through Alpharetta on Sunday, August 23.
News broke on Friday, August 22, that KJ, 15, had been arrested earlier in the week on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault. A judge did not set bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 8.
“First and foremost, this is not the kind of information that should be for public dissemination. These are juveniles,” KJ’s attorney Jason Sheffield told Us in a statement on Friday. “Secondly, my client is 100 percent innocent and tried to present evidence to the arresting officer, including a passed polygraph by a notable and respected sex offender polygrapher.”
The statement continued, “The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without bond is a tragedy. He is not only presumed innocent but is, in fact, innocent.”
According to a police report obtained by Us, the alleged incident took place on April 23 in a gym sauna in Alpharetta. The minor female victim, who Us has chosen not to identify, reported sexual abuse and was taken to the hospital.
The police report notes the alleged victim was examined at a hospital, and test results found no evidence of male DNA in her mouth or vagina.
Although Kroy has yet to publicly comment on KJ’s arrest, Zolciak released a statement denying the allegations made against their son.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” Zolciak said in a statement to Us on Friday. “My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.”
The Don’t Be Tardy star continued, “False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation. We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.”
In addition to KJ and Kash, 14, Zolciak and Kroy are parents to 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Kroy also adopted Zolciak’s two eldest daughters, Brielle, 29, Ariana, 24, whom she welcomed during a previous relationship. Zolciak and Kroy have been locked in a bitter divorce since May 2023.
