Better after breakup? It certainly appears so! Since splitting from Miley Cyrus last week, Liam Hemsworth walked his first red carpet on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The 23-year-old Australian actor looked hotter than ever at the celebration of the Hugo Boss Columbus Circle flagship opening, featuring the premiere of the Anthropocene by Marco Brambilla video installation, in New York City.
Hemsworth gave a sexy smile to photographers while posing in a black fitted suit with stripped shirt, black tie and white pocket square. An eyewitness tells Us Weekly that the Hunger Games hunk was "in great spirits" at the event and happily posed with fellow attendee Josh Duhamel.
According to the insider, Hemsworth was laughing and smiling while chatting with actor Duhamel inside the event. He even gladly posed for photos with fans and party guests when asked.
Tuesday was Hemsworth's first official public appearance since ending his engagement to Cyrus. The 20-year-old "We Can't Stop" singer's rep confirmed the end of their three-year relationship to Us Weekly on Sept. 16.
But Hemsworth doesn't appear to be too heartbroken. One day after news of his split from Cyrus broke, the Paranoia actor was photographed kissing Mexican actress and singer Eiza Gonzalez in Los Angeles.
Cyrus, meanwhile, has continued to make headlines for her over-the-top career antics — including going nude in her "Wrecking Ball" music video and posing topless on the Oct. 10 issue of Rolling Stone. In the magazine, Cyrus defended her raunchy MTV VMAs performance with Robin Thicke last month. "I wasn't trying to be sexy. If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy," the self-proclaimed "semi-nudist" said. "I can dance a lot better than I was dancing."
