More legal troubles for the Lohan family. Lindsay Lohan’s younger brother Michael Lohan Jr. was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 29, after state troopers noticed his car parked at an expired meter in Manhattan’s Gramercy neighborhood in the early evening.
Police told Fox 5 NY that Michael’s 2015 Audi was displaying a placard on its dashboard that showed the New York State Seal, read “official business,” and indicated that it was issued from the state’s Executive Branch. Law enforcement said that the placard was a forgery. According to Page Six, the occasional actor couldn’t provide proof that he was an employee of the state’s Executive Branch.
An official placard would exempt the holder from having to pay for parking.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur is facing a third-degree charge for criminal possession of a forged instrument, as well a second-degree charge for criminal impersonation. Law enforcement told Fox he was arraigned at the New York City Criminal Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court date is Dec. 14.
Sister Lindsay, 29, is no stranger to run-ins with the law. She has been arrested numerous times for charges ranging from theft to DUIs. Dad Michael Lohan Sr. has been convicted of criminal contempt of court, and has faced arrests for DUI and domestic violence. The child star’s mother, Dina, has also been arrested for DUI.
