Luann de Lesseps trespassed in a hotel room with an unidentified man before she was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, December 24, the Palm Beach Police Department confirms to Us Weekly.
According to a police report obtained by Us, the Real Housewives of New York City star, 52, was staying in room 327 at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, but entered room 407 with her male companion late Saturday, December 23. Hotel security guard Carlo Lopez was notified by a member of the housekeeping staff. He found the pair in bed together and repeatedly ordered them to leave the room.
The police officers who responded to Lopez’s phone call arrived at room 407 and met with de Lesseps and her longtime female friend, Julie Olson. “It should be noted that both smelled of an unknown alcoholic beverage, had slurred speech and appeared to be heavily intoxicated,” Officer Mastrangelo writes in the police report.
According to Mastrangelo, the Bravo personality locked herself in the bathroom then “shoved” Officer O’Leary “with an open palm to the chest” when he attempted to detain and remove her. She then “slammed the door on Officer O’Leary’s face, striking him in the forehead,” the police report reads.
De Lesseps was placed in the back of a patrol car, but managed to slip out of her handcuffs “and attempted to exit the vehicle,” Mastrangelo writes. “De Lesseps was removed from the back of vehicle so I could re-secure the handcuffs on her wrists. … As I was placing De Lesseps in the back into the vehicle, she stated, ‘I’m going to f–king kill you,’ and tried kicking the door to keep it from closing.”
When the reality star was placed in a holding cell at the police department, she stated again multiple times that she was “going to f–king kill all of you,” according to the officer.
De Lesseps’ friend Olson told Page Six that the man who was in bed with the star was “a guy she had previously dated.”
The TV personality was arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly intoxication and corruption by threat. She apologized in a statement to Us on Sunday afternoon: “I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior. This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”
