Las Vegas is a diva down!

Mariah Carey was forced to cancel her Wednesday, May 13, performance at the city's Caesars Palace on strict doctor's orders, after she contracted a nasty case of bronchitis.

A week after her opening show on Wednesday, May 6, when she wowed fans by hitting all the high notes during her first Mariah #1 to Infinity show, the singer was told to take a night off after contracting a chest infection.

"Hey guys," she wrote in a text message sent out via Instagram. "I've been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor's orders. I'm so sorry to cancel tonight's show but I promise to make it up to you!!!" she added. "Love you always, MC"

On top of launching her new residency show, Carey's been busy during her first official week in Sin City. On Friday, May 8 she attended Tyson Beckford's Las Vegas Chippendales Show, appearing on stage for a lap dance from the man himself.

“I've no idea how I got here!! @chippendales," the Grammy winner captioned a pic on Instagram which showed her receiving a kiss on the cheek from a semi-clad, muscular Beckford.

Carey's next scheduled show is on Saturday, May 16. It is not yet known whether she will be able to perform.
