Looks like someone missed the dress code memo, but we don’t mind one bit! Alexander Skarsgard took the stage to present the Best Movie of the Year award at the MTV Movie Awards 2016 on Saturday, April 9, wearing a tuxedo blazer, bow tie, and white dress shirt — and little else.
The former True Blood star, 39, bounded onstage with a pair of tighty-whities, knee-high socks and suspenders while co-presenter Samuel L. Jackson laughed at his getup.
“You’re not wearing any pants!” Jackson, 67, exclaimed during the telecast on MTV on Sunday, April 10.
“Me Tarzan, you gotta give the fans a little skin,” said Skarsgard, who stars in the upcoming The Legend of Tarzan. “I was going to go shirtless but then someone told me Zac Efron did that a few years ago.”
“F–k the police!” Jackson responded.
“F–k the first order,” Skarsgard added.
“F–k the big-ass dinosaur and f–k how you’re supposed to do a superhero movie!” Jackson said with a laugh.
Earlier in the evening, Skarsgard walked the red carpet in a black skirt in a nod to Legend of Tarzan, which is out July 1.
