Paying tribute. Just days after Nick Gordon finally broke his silence on Bobbi Kristina, he updated his Twitter profile with tributes to his hospitalized girlfriend this past weekend.
Tweeting under the handle @nickdgordon, Gordon changed his Twitter avatar to a photo of an arm with a tattoo in script reading, “Bobbi Kristina.” He gave no further information on the ink, but set the image against a header photo of himself with Bobbi Kristina.
He also tweeted for the first time since Dec. 25, 2014, writing on Sunday, Feb. 15, “Thank you for all your prayers. She is a strong person and will pull through this. Continue to pray for her.” He followed the message up with another, which read simply, “Twice.”
This is a change of pace for Gordon, who has remained quiet in the weeks since Bobbi Kristina, 21, was found unresponsive in her home on Jan. 31, taken to a hospital, and later placed in a medically induced coma. The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown remains in the hospital with few concrete updates on her health.
There have been widespread rumors in regards to Gordon’s role in the grave situation and his actions in the days since. Amidst turmoil in the Brown family, Gordon released a statement through his legal team on Friday, Feb. 13.
“In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not,” Gordon’s attorneys Randy Kessler and Joe Habachy told Us Weekly at the time, referring to speculation that he was pushing for his rights to be by Bobbi’s hospital bedside. “Mr. Gordon’s only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina.”
“He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon,” the statement continued of Gordon and Bobbi Kristina. “Despite the incredible public interest, we ask and hope that this request can be resolved privately by Mr. Gordon and the family.”
