Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family may have banned her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, from attending her funeral services, but he’s finally had the chance to say goodbye. A source confirms to Us Weekly that Gordon has visited the late 22-year-old’s grave at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J.
Brown was buried next to her mother, Whitney Houston, on Aug. 3. The aspiring singer died on July 26 after being in a medically induced coma for nearly six months. Bobby Brown’s daughter had been found facedown and unresponsive in her bathtub in her Atlanta-area home on Jan. 31.
A lawsuit first filed on June 24 by Bedelia Hargrove, Bobbi Kristina’s co-conservator, and amended after Bobbi Kristina’s death, alleges that Gordon, 25, gave his girlfriend a “toxic cocktail” that left her “unconscious.” The suit also accuses him of then putting “her facedown in a tub of cold water, causing her to suffer brain damage.”
The lawsuit is seeking more than $10 million in damages.
Shortly after Bobbi Kristina’s death, Gordon’s mother, Michelle, issued a statement to Us Weekly on his behalf, saying that her son was devastated by his girlfriend’s passing. “Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart,” the statement read.
