Nick Jonas gets candid with Elle about his sex life

Buh-bye, Disney! Nick Jonas is officially a sex machine. The former Jonas Brothers bandmate opened up to Elle in a candid interview and talked about everything from losing his virginity to how he’s never had sex to his own music — but he recommends others do!

“There was so much attention on my sex life at 15. It was uncomfortable. If you were talking about a 15-year-old's sex life or a 17-year-old's in any other context it would be totally obscene,” the now 22-year-old told the magazine when asked about sporting a purity ring growing up. “[The ring] shaped my view of the importance of sex. My journey with faith evolved and became more about my personal relationship with God. It was about me being comfortable with my decisions. As a 22-year-old man, I'm a man in all ways, and I'm comfortable with that. It's freeing now to be transparent.”

And transparent he is! Jonas, who has made it known he’s no virgin, also talked about his first time between the sheets, and admitted he made the mistake of keeping his iPod on shuffle. “I think I would change the song. I don't want to say what song it was, but it was depressing…It was a bad draw,” he said.

Speaking of music to set the mood (or not), Jonas said his own songs are off-limits. “That's a no-fly zone!” he replied when asked if he’s ever had sex to his own music. “It's so awkward. I've never even tried. I do think about how many people have had sex to my music. And how many babies have been made to ‘Jealous.’ It's got a good tempo for sex,” he said, laughing. “They should be naming their babies Nick or Nicole. I'm kidding.”

The star, who's been in a relationship with Miss Universe Olivia Culpo since 2013, counts fellow Disney alum Miley Cyrus among his exes. And while he told Elle that "dating other musicians can be complicated at times, especially when they think highly of themselves," he wishes nothing but the best for the "Wrecking Ball" singer.

“I was so young. What's unfortunate is that, as we got older, we ran in different circles,” he said of Cyrus. “We've always had respect and wished the best for each other. I don't know that I have any regrets. It's more gratitude for having had a good friend in a time of craziness in my life and in hers.”

Prior to landing Culpo, Jonas admitted that there were times when he and his famous brothers, Kevin and Joe, fought over the same woman.

"We tried to steer clear of that, [but] it was hard,” he said. "We're not that far apart in age. There were times that we were both into the same person. You try to be transparent. You never want to let that come between family."
