A night of romance! Hours after Drake professed his love for Rihanna at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, the rumored couple hit up a star-studded afterparty in New York City — and they weren’t shy about showing their affection.
The “One Dance” rapper, 29, and the “Needed Me” singer, 28, arrived (with their 60-odd person crew in tow) at downtown Manhattan hot spot Up&Down at 3:30 a.m. local time. The duo and frequent collaborators were spotted walking into the NYC nightclub holding hands.
Rihanna looked stunning in a green fringe dress, which she paired with a pink clutch, a Sarara Couture necklace and hoop earrings, while Drake (out of that sharp tux) rocked a blue bomber jacket, a black T-shirt, jeans and black Timberland boots.
Inside the club, the pair celebrated near the DJ booth as Caribbean dancehall music played. Britney Spears‘ “Make Me…” collaborator, G-Eazy, also attended the afterparty, as did Tinashe, Halsey, Kevin Spacey and Hailey Baldwin. Rihanna and Drake left the nightclub shortly after 5 a.m.
Just a few blocks over (or a quick Uber ride), Ariana Grande and her new boyfriend, Mac Miller, arrived at Vandal restaurant for the Republic Records VMAs afterparty. The “Into You” singer, 23, who hit the VMAs stage earlier for a spin class-esque “Side to Side” performance with Nicki Minaj, looked adorable in a pair of overalls. Her rapper beau, 24, kept it casual in a beige crewneck sweatshirt, light blue jeans, black sneakers and a pink hat.
The new couple, who first dated years before Grande was linked to Big Sean and dancer Ricky Alvarez, were spotted making out inside the Lower East Side bar as she sat on his lap and sipped on Fiji water. Throughout the night, they danced together and kissed several times.
Jersey Shore alums Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley also attended the Republic Records party, where they enjoyed a fun-filled moms’ night out. Other Vandal attendees included Heidi Klum, boyfriend Vito Schnabel, Casper Smart (sans Jennifer Lopez), Jaden Smith, Laverne Cox and Nyle DiMarco.
