Way to celebrate! Moments after Scarface accepted the I Am Hip Hop award at Atlanta, Georgia's 2015 BET Awards ceremony, he was arrested for failing to make child support payments.
According to Fulton County's jail records, the rapper was arrested on Friday, Oct. 9, having just given an acceptance speech at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center.
"There was a sheriff waiting to arrest him backstage," a source tells Us Weekly. "Literally, he walked off the stage holding his awards and handcuffs were put on him."
The 44-year-old musician, real name Brad Jordan, had his bond set at $482,190. According to the Fulton County jail's inmate information service, he remains in prison at the time of publication.
