Prior to the divorce filing, the pair had a rocky few weeks. A source close to the couple told Us that “the relationship was strained” after an incident where Mike was unreachable for several days. In early November, TMZ reported that the musician failed to return home after band practice and that Scheana became worried when she could not reach him. A source told TMZ that Scheana worried Mike, who is sober after an eight-year painkiller addiction, had fallen off the wagon.

However, Mike later refuted the rumors that he was missing in an Instagram post. “I am not missing. I am sober. I am Happy!!” he wrote. “I love my wife and will always love my wife. Whatever is going on between us will stay between us!”

In an interview with Us Weekly from early November in the video above, the Bravo star hinted that fans might see their marriage unravel in the new season of Vanderpump Rules. “You will see a different side to our relationship this season, and that’s all I’m going to say,” she told Us.

The couple married back in July 2014 at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California. The wedding was filmed for season 3 of Vanderpump Rules
