Can’t two gals just be pals? After RadarOnline published an article claiming Sophie B. Hawkins is dating Rosie O’Donnell, the pregnant singer refuted the claims to Us Weekly.
"I am not romantically involved with Rosie or anybody for that matter,” Hawkins, 50, tells Us. “Rosie has been a dear friend for thirty years. I am very proud and happy to be having this child on my own."
The “Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover” crooner is already mom to 6-year-old son Dashiell, and told Us Weekly back in February that she’s excited to be having another child so late in life.
“Dashiell and I have had the magical twosome for six adventurous years, that intense focus of an only child and single mother, and we're ready to invite a new and unknown dynamic into our lives,” she told Us in February.
O'Donnell's rep adds, "Rosie and Sophie have been friends for over 20 years. She has not dated anyone since her separation from Michelle."
In February, the former talk show host, 53, filed for divorce from her wife Michelle Rounds after three years of marriage. The pair are currently going through a nasty divorce battle, missing their first meeting when their daughter Dakota got sick on May 5. Rounds was O’Donnell’s second wife after being married to Kelli Carpenter from 2004 to 2007.
