Stassi Schroeder made a rare comment about past rumors regarding husband Beau Clark‘s financial issues.
A TikTok user posted a video over the weekend about Stassi, 38, and Beau’s return to reality TV with Hulu’s House of Stassi. The fan specifically questioned Beau’s involvement and brought up instances they felt the casting director, 46, had been dishonest, including when he didn’t mention that Robert was his real first name on Vanderpump Rules.
“He also lied about his age to everyone in his life,” the TikTok user claimed. “He celebrated his 40th birthday on his 37th birthday. I think he says it is for professional reasons.”
The content creator then claimed Beau had “multiple bankruptcies very young before he was 35 — several of them.” (RadarOnline obtained court documents in 2019 showing Beau had filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Los Angeles two years prior.)
Stassi, for her part, clapped back at the commentator.
“And yeah a lot of people had to file for bankruptcy back then,” she replied via the comments section. “And yes we are both terrible.”
Stassi and Beau’s marriage is at the center of their new reality TV series. While filming House of Stassi, Beau was candid about the challenges the couple have faced in the years since becoming parents in 2021. (They share daughter Hartford, 5, and son Messer, 2.)
“I’m trying to balance wanting her to have her space and to be able to not stress out when she’s working,” Beau mentioned in the series premiere. “But then also I’m sitting here and I’m angry and resentful.”
Beau said he was “just shoving it down” instead of confronting the problem.
“I just got so detached from her that it’s like we’re roommates,” he continued. “I don’t feel worthy.”
Later in the episode, Beau attempted to broach the subject with his wife.
“I just literally just feel like a 1950s housewife where I have my apron on and I’m cleaning everything while feeding the kids,” Beau told Stassi about how giving up his job affected his mental health. “Sometimes that’s how I feel because we don’t have that connection all the time.”
Stassi started to tear up once Beau referred to them as roommates, adding, “I want you to say things. I want you to say things the way that you tell me you don’t want things to build up. I need to make more of an effort.”
House of Stassi is streaming now on Hulu.
