Alyssa Farah Griffin had a live, on-air flub while discussing Donald Trump Jr.’s recent wedding.

The View cohosts were discussing President Donald Trump’s decision to ultimately skip his son’s nuptials to Bettina Anderson over Memorial Day weekend. Griffin, who previously worked in the president’s administration, shared that she thought he should have made the time to attend the private ceremony in the Bahamas.

“I, oddly enough, talked about this on CNN on Friday. I said he should go,” Griffin, 36, said on the Tuesday, May 26, episode of the morning show. “A parent should try to never miss their child’s funeral.”

The audience gasped at Griffin’s mistake as cohost Sara Haines clasped her hands over her mouth.

“I’m sorry, oh God, wedding!” Griffin immediately clarified.

Griffin, who welcomed son Justin Jr. with husband Justin Griffin in February, explained her on-air gaffe as a byproduct of the postpartum haze, adding that being a new mom is exhausting.

“Honestly, I’m so tired,” she said. “I have a 3-month-old!”

Griffin corrected her initial statement saying that a “parent should never miss a wedding if they’re able to” attend. She added that she doesn’t think “people would’ve criticized” the president if he had made the trip, even amidst the ongoing war in Iran, high gas prices and more.

Cohost Joy Behar quipped that Donald, 79, could “go to the next one,” seemingly referring to Donald Jr.’s first marriage to Vanessa Trump and insinuating that his most recent marriage won’t be his last.

Ahead of Donald Jr., 48, and Anderson’s wedding, the president hinted that he would not be going to the event.

“He’d like me to go. It’s gonna be just a small, little private affair and I’m gonna try and make it,” Donald told reporters on Thursday, May 21. “I said, ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.”

That same day, Us Weekly confirmed that Donald Jr. and Anderson, 39, obtained a marriage license in Palm Beach County, Florida. The document was signed off by a deputy clerk, with real estate attorney Brad McPherson officiating the private ceremony.

One day later, Donald confirmed that he would not be attending Donald Jr. and Anderson’s wedding, but did take the time to congratulate the happy couple.

“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” he wrote via Truth Social. “I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!”
