Tracy Morgan is heading home! The 30 Rock alum has been released from his rehabilitation center, his rep confirms to Us Weekly. The comedian will now continue his "recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program."
"He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point," his rep tells Us in a statement. "He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point in his recovery."
Morgan, 45, had been recovering from injuries he sustained in a six-vehicle car crash in Cranbury, New Jersey last month. (A Wal-Mart truck drove into a limousine van he was in at the time, killing his friend and comedy writer James McNair.) On June 20, he was upgraded to fair condition and was transferred to the rehab center after a brief stay at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
As previously reported, Morgan is suing Wal-Mart over the incident. In response, the company released a statement saying it was "committed to doing the right thing for all involved."
