Wendy Williams was all smiles during a rare public outing.

Williams, 60, was spotted arriving at the Miami International Airport on Saturday, February 15, in photos obtained by Us Weekly. She rode through the crowd on a scooter, a wide grin on her face.

Williams sported a black button-down blouse with a coordinating pair of shorts, which she accessorized with fishnet stockings and fuzzy boots.

The TV personality confirmed last year that she had been battling both frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.

“As Wendy’s fans are aware, in the past, she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema as well as other significant challenges related to her health,” a February 2024 press release read. “Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires.”

The statement added, “The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances.”

Williams’ rep further noted at the time that she is “still able to do many things for herself” all while maintaining her “trademark sense of humor.”

“She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way,” the statement concluded.

Since receiving the diagnosis, Us confirmed that Williams is still herself.

“She’s still Wendy,” a source exclusively told Us in January. “Her conversations are just as rhythmic and her mindset is open.”

Per the insider, Williams only uses a mobility scooter — like the one she was seen using on Saturday — on occasion to help manage getting around amid her lymphedema battle, where a blockage in the lymphatic system causes a buildup of fluid that leads to swelling.

“It’s not going to kill me, but I do have a machine — and how dare you talk about the swelling of it all,” Williams said on her eponymous talk show in 2019. “I’ve got it under control. If [the swelling] in my feet never goes all the way down, at least I have this machine. I sit for 45 minutes a day. It’s the best party entertainer ever. Everybody [that] comes over wants to do it.”

Williams took a permanent hiatus from The Wendy Williams Show in 2022 during its 13th season. The show wrapped for good that June, shortly before Williams’ brief stay at an in-patient treatment facility for “overall health issues.”
