Photos posted by TMZ on Thursday showed outdoor table settings, a dance floor, and a cake at the couple's $21 million Bel Air mansion. The dessert was topped with puppet versions of Theroux and Aniston, in what appears to be a veil. In one particular photo, it also appears that a pastor holding a Bible was on the premises.

The bride and groom were feted by A-list pals such as Lisa Kudrow, Howard Stern, Sia, Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Meyer, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres, Lake Bell, Scott Campbell, and Terry Richardson.

Aniston, 46, and Theroux, who turns 44 on Aug. 10, met several years ago, but didn't start dating until they costarred in 2012's Wanderlust. They got engaged 18 months into their romance, when The Leftovers actor popped the question to Aniston on his 41st birthday over dinner at NYC's Blue Hill restaurant in August 2012.

Back in July 2013, Aniston explained why she and Theroux kept delaying their nuptials. "We just want to do it when it's perfect, and we're not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job," she told the Associated Press at the time. "And, you know, we already feel married."

The following month, Aniston gushed that she was "really happy" with their relationship. "Eventually we're going to get married when we find the time," she told The Talk panel in August 2013.

Incidentally, the couple's friends had long suspected a surprise wedding. DeGeneres said that she and wife Portia de Rossi were concerned about a particular Aniston party they could not attend. "Because [the wedding] is so secretive, when we're invited, we go, 'We're not in town, but should we be in town?'" the talk show host admitted to the Cake actress in November 2014.

Aniston replied that pals Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen had the same worries. "Our friends Sacha and Isla showed up for four parties, four little gatherings, about a year ago, in beautiful wedding wear," she said. "Even the Fourth of July last year, they showed up and Sacha was in a powder-blue suit and Isla was in a little cute dress, and we were like, 'Guys, it's the Fourth of July. We are in cutoffs, we are eating hot dogs, we will actually let you know!'"

This is the first marriage for Theroux and the second for Aniston. The actress finalized her divorce from Brad Pitt in October 2005 after five years of marriage. Pitt now shares six children with Angelina Jolie, whom he wed in August 2014.
