Amy Duggar Clarifies That ‘Marriage Boot Camp’ Abuse Claim

Shedding light on a scary situation. Amy Duggar and husband Dillon King appear on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars season 7, and she is offering a bit more information about a violent incident she described in a recent trailer.

Duggar, 30, who is Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's niece, appears briefly in the WE tv relationship series' promo that was released earlier this month. She married hydrographic-printing company owner King in September 2015.

"He picked me up by my throat … all the way up to the ceiling," she says in the footage for the new season that premieres Friday, January 6. In another snippet, Amy says, "We have nothing to f–king hide."

Amy has not specified who allegedly grabbed her. But she took to Twitter on Wednesday, December 7, to help clarify the claim.

"The story I was describing in the Marriage Boot Camp teaser does not involve Dillon in any way," the 19 Kids and Counting alum wrote about her husband.

Fans of the Duggar family were surprised when Amy didn't attend Jinger Duggar's wedding to Jeremy Vuolo in Arkansas on November 5. But Amy insisted there is no bad blood among the kin.

“I was absolutely invited. I love my family! There is no rift between me and my cousins at all. It was just wrong timing,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight. “We already had something scheduled."

Watch the trailer above. Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars season 7, which also features Bachelor Nation's Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, premieres on WE tv Friday, January 6, at 9 p.m. ET.
