Mr. and Mrs. Smith are back! Almost 10 years after one of Hollywood’s hottest couples first met and sizzled on-screen together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to once again light the fire in the new film By the Sea, which will be written and directed by Jolie.
A set source tells Us Weekly that the couple shares some “crazy sex scenes” in the movie, which is being filmed right down the street from one of the A-list family’s homes in the Republic of Malta.
In May, Jolie told the BBC that she’s ready to retire from acting, so By the Sea, which is set to hit theaters in 2015, could be her final role.
Filming begins in September and is slated to last approximately 10 weeks. Oscar winners Pitt and Jolie will play a married couple in the film, but few other details have been released thus far. Jolie and Pitt met and fell in love on the set of 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, when the World War Z star was still married to Jennifer Aniston. They have not appeared in a movie together since.
