Tell him, Barbra! Barbra Streisand took the stage on The Tonight Show to sing a duet with “Donald Trump” Thursday, August 25, and it was incredible.
Host Jimmy Fallon, who was doing his best impersonation of the Republican presidential candidate complete with wig and orange bronzer, and the legendary entertainer, 74, quipped back and forth during their performance of “Anything You Can Do.” Except both stars changed up the words to parody some of the businessman’s infamous quotes.
The duo started off with a little introduction. “Listen up, Babs. We’re gonna sing this song, and it’s going to be a fantastic song. We’re going to sing a fantastic song, and together we’re going to make duets great again!” Fallon-as-Trump declared. “That’s if you can sing,” the Emmy-, Grammy-, Oscar- and Tony-winning star said.
Of course, they had to reference Trump’s plan to build a wall on the Mexican border to keep out illegal immigrants. “Any wall you could build, I can build taller,” Fallon sang. “I’m not building a wall,” Streisand crooned. After going back and forth with Streisand singing, “No, you can’t” and Fallon saying, “Yes, I can,” the comedian said, “Yeah, I can. And I’m going to get Mexico to pay for it.”
The iconic musician, who’s made it known that she’s a Hillary Clinton supporter, has a lot of zingers in the three-minute clip. “I can build casinos and deport Latinos,” Fallon chanted. “I can vote for Hillary,” Streisand crooned back at him.
At the very end, Fallon told Streisand, “You really are a prima donna,” and she replied, “You’re a prima Donald.”
