LuAnn de Lesseps is not a fan of Carole Radziwill’s new boyfriend — because he’s her niece’s ex and 23 years younger than she is. In a sneak peek of Tuesday’s Real Housewives of New York City episode, the countess calls out the author for pulling a Sonja Morgan-move.
In the exclusive sneak peek, things get heated between the castmates when their costars Ramona Singer and Kristen Taekman ask de Lesseps how she feels about Radziwill dating her 28-year-old chef Adam.
“He’s a little young and he’s my niece’s ex-boyfriend, so what can I tell you? It’s a little weird,” de Lesseps tells the camera, while Radziwill maintains there’s nothing odd about it.
“He likes me, I like him,” she explains. “It’s not much more complicated than that. We’re having a good time.”
After debating whether or not de Lesseps’ niece and Adam broke up a long time ago, Radziwill gets upset when de Lesseps tells her it’s a Sonja Morgan-move, referring to Morgan’s tendenacy to date younger men.
“It’s Sonja-young,” she tells her costar, who then calls her a hypocrite.
“Lu lecturing me on dating younger men is like the Saudi government lecturing the world on feminism,” Radziwill tells the camera. “I love Lu, but sometimes, she can be a hypocrite of epic proportion.”
