"To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I'm looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights," Sheen said in a statement. He concluded by thanking CBS Chief Executive Leslie Moonves for his support.

Sheen, 44, who currently makes $825,000 an episode will be bumped up to nearly $2 million per show, according to the Variety. The announcement follows speculation that the actor would leave the show if his salary requirements were not met. Sheen initially asked for $2 million.

He currently faces 45 days in jail for assaulting wife Brooke Mueller Dec. 25. A source revealed to Usmagazine.com that he is most worried about smoking behind bars. Sheen's criminal defense attorney, Richard Cummins, has been seeking an exception to the Aspen's Pitkin County Jail's no-smoking policy for Sheen that will likely not be met, according to authorities.

Sheen checked himself into an undisclosed rehab facility in February for "preventative measures" and was out the following month. Production for Two and a Half Men halted to accommodate Sheen's rehab stint. Brooke, 32, also received treatment for her addictions to alcohol and drugs and recently checked out of The Canyon facility in Malibu for at-home treatment. The couple, who are currently living apart, have been married for nearly two years and welcomed twin sons Bob and Max last year.
