Chrissy Teigen Questions If Selling Sunset’s Agents Actually Work in Real Estate: ‘I Have Obsessively Asked’ Our Agents

Chrissy Teigen has always been vocal about her love for reality TV — but the cookbook author isn’t so sure about the world’s obsession with Netflix’s Selling Sunset.

“I just watched all of Selling Sunset after watching everyone talk about it for so long! I don’t even think anyone on it is as mean or insane as you guys said?” the 34-year-old pregnant model tweeted on Tuesday, August 18. “Maybe I’m just so used to it because I live here? This is pretty normal lol some are actually really nice. Maybe I also know everyone on tv plays up a character. They’re all doing that. You guys are … super mad at people who are in on the joke.”

Teigen then questioned the legitimacy of the Oppenheim Group’s agents.

“I will say, I look at LA real estate a lot and have never seen any of these people lol either have our agents, who I have obsessively asked,” she wrote.

The series, which debuted on Netflix in 2019, follows twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim‘s Los Angeles agency and agents Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Heather Rae Young, Maya Vander and Davina Potratz. Days before season 3 started streaming on Netflix, marketing agency Evoluted released a study on the cast’s earnings based on properties shown on the show, listing Quinn, Potratz and Fitzgerald at the top.

While the group has yet to publicly comment on Teigen’s implication that they aren’t working real estate agents, Quinn replied a “100” emoji to the Craving author’s second tweet about being “in on the joke.”

Some Selling Sunset viewers have dubbed the Texas native the villain as she feuds with Stause amid the soap star’s divorce from Justin Hartley. The All My Children alum recently fired back at Quinn’s claims she plays the “victim.”

”I am a victor of many things and thriving,” Stause wrote on Tuesday via her Instagram Stories. “I can’t wait for you to get there so you can stop with this nonsense.”

Stause sparked speculation that Selling Sunset was renewed for season 4 earlier this month, teasing via Instagram that the cast got “good news.” She has also shared videos and photos from the L.A. office.
