Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are going extra big for Halloween 2026.
While celebrating the spooky holiday on the Friday, October 30, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark: Halloween Shockin’ Eve, the cohosts couldn’t decide on just one costume for their talk show.
“We have over 60 costume changes,” Ripa, 56, shared at the top of the show. “We are taking on your favorite characters from movies, TV shows, sports moments and trends that have taken over your feed.”
At the beginning of the broadcast, Ripa’s former Live cohost Ryan Seacrest appeared as a surprise guest as Consuelos, 55, played Spider-Man.
“It’s me, Ryan Seacrest. Look familiar? Don’t adjust your dials,” Seacrest, 51, said during the opening sequence. “This morning, Live is turning Times Square into Times Scare for the very first Halloween Shockin’ Eve.”
Soon after, Ripa and Consuelos changed costumes and walked out as two legendary singers.

“If you saw the football concert known by most as the halftime show, then you know we are dressed as Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga,” Ripa shared before giving credit to a few special guests surrounding them. “The breakout performers [are] the dancing grass.”
The fun continued as guests Lisa Rinna and Jerry O’Connell appeared on the show with their own unique Halloween costumes.
Ultimately, it was Ripa and Consuelos who kept viewers on their toes as they transformed into a variety of famous figures during the hour-long show.
At one point in the telecast, Ripa dressed as Elizabeth Holmes — a role she previously took on in 2021 — while Consuelos played a Traitors contestant feeling deceived. Other costumes were inspired by Obsession, Toy Story 5, squishy toys and Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.

“As we get older, we don’t know what the hell is going on,” Consuelos joked to USA Today before showtime.
Ripa added, “Ninety percent of what we were, we spent screaming, ‘What are we?’”
Behind the scenes, executive producer Michael Gelman and a team of staffers prepare for the big show weeks in advance. What comes next is an hour to remember.
“We start working on the show literally November 1,” Gelman, 65, told the publication. “The day after the old Halloween show and collecting things that are building in pop culture, and sometimes we’re changing things up to the very last minute because things are happening or becoming talked about.”
