Secret Service, get ready! First Lady Michelle Obama took a spin with James Corden for an upcoming segment of Carpool Karaoke — and they sang Beyoncé! A sneak peek of the highly anticipated drive around Washington, D.C., was released on Monday, July 18.
In the clip, the British Late Late Show host (who was only expecting a White House tour!) is surprised when Obama, 52, sits down in the passenger seat. The pair have some small talk before Corden blasts Missy Elliott's 2001 hit "Get Ur Freak On" and Beyoncé's 2008 smash "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."
FLOTUS has often crossed paths with Beyoncé, 34. Beyoncé sang Etta James' "At Last" at President Barack Obama's Inaugural Ball in 2009. In 2013, the singer belted out the national anthem on President Barack Obama's first Inauguration Day. Back in February, the first lady even told CBS This Morning that she was ecstatic to watch Queen Bey dominate the Super Bowl Halftime Show with headliner Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
The "Freedom" singer and her husband, Jay Z, have remained close with the couple over the years. In 2012, the president, 54, opened up about the entertainers during a reelection campaign in NYC.
"To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls [Malia and Sasha]," he said at the time. "[Jay Z,] we both have daughters, and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard but it's OK."
FLOTUS' Carpool Karaoke will air on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS Wednesday, July 20.
