Miley Cyrus, Madonna Perform “Don’t Tell Me,” “We Can’t Stop” Mashup in Western-Themed Unplugged Show: Photo, All the Details!

Madonna and Miley Cyrus performing together

Howdy, divas! Miley Cyrus taped her MTV Unplugged concert special at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles late Tuesday, Jan. 28 — and, as previously promised, the 21-year-old was joined onstage by the Empress of Pop herself, Madonna! Us Weekly was in the audience — along with Cyrus' parents Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, older sister Brandi, and even Scandal stars Guillermo Diaz and Darby Stanchfield — for the once-in-a-lifetime show. The concert was Western-themed throughout, with  backup singers and bandmembers donning cowboy hats, denim, plaid shirts and overalls, and with two men even filling out a two-person horse costume — which Cyrus, naturally, dry-humped.

During the stripped-down show, Cyrus sang tracks from her smash Bangerz album to the accompaniment of acoustic guitars, piano and a string section. Making multiple costume changes herself (think shredded jeans, rhinestones, and bikini top), a happy, confident Cyrus explained the Western schtick to the crowd. "I'm from Nashville and so since I couldn't bring you all to Nashville, I brought Nashville here to you. I'm trying to get you in the country spirit!"

As the former Hannah Montana belted out "Wrecking Ball" about midway through the show, Madonna (wearing a black cowboy outfit and cowboy hat with silver details and friend) quietly entered the studio and took a seat in the audience, with fans quickly noticing the second superstar in their midst.

Next on the set list? Madonna's own Western-themed 2000 hit "Don't Tell Me." As the band began the opening strains of the song, Madonna got up from her seat to join Cyrus, with the twosome segueing into a mash-up of "Don't Tell Me" with "We Can't Stop" — with plenty of crotch-grabbing and dirty dancing. The highlight? When the pair broke into the synchronized country dancing routine from "Don't Tell Me." When the number was over, Madonna and Miley skipped offstage together, arm-in-arm.

"That was pretty f—-ing cool, you guys," Cyrus told the crowd upon her return to the stage. "It sounds super-lame, but as a pop star it's pretty cool performing with Madonna…Today was one of those days that it was really easy to get out of bed, put on a bikini and sing with Madonna."

An official photo released from the exchange shows the two women striking a pose, Miley-style: With outstretched tongues. The special airs Wednesday night on MTV at 9 p.m. EST.
