MTV Video Music Award Nominations 2016: Beyonce Breaks Her Own Record!

Making Moonmen out of Lemonade! Beyoncé‘s history-making, record-breaking visual album is poised for another big night — this time at the Video Music Awards in August. MTV announced the 2016 nominees in a Facebook Live video on Tuesday, July 26, and the Beyhive should be very pleased.

The “Partition” singer earned a career-best 11 nominations for Lemonade, including Video of the Year for “Formation” and Best Female Video for “Hold Up.” She’ll be competing in both categories against Adele, whose album 25 was one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the last year.
