Saturday Night Live Mocks Scientology in “Neurotology Music Video” Sketch: Watch Now!

Cover your eyes, Tom! Saturday Night Live made some not-so-subtle digs at Scientology on April 4. In the “Neurotology Music Video” sketch, the cast sang an original song about the religion of Neurotology.

“Religion and science intertwined, aliens live inside of our minds,” Aidy Bryant sang. “A billion year contract we have signed. It all makes sense to me!”

“Gorgeous religion, old and true. Started in 1982. Our founder brings us endless life because he never dies,” Kate McKinnon sang, referencing Scientology creator, science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, who died in 1986. 

Neurology
Saturday Night Live parodied Scientology in its “Neurotology’ sketch.

Throughout the video, little notes popped up on the screen saying which members were currently missing or being abused.

This new skit comes after the March 29 premiere of the HBO documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief — a shocking expose which made headlines for interviewing former members of the religion. The film got plenty of social chatter and insane ratings.
