Ice, ice baby! Vanilla Ice is set to join the season 23 cast of Dancing With the Stars, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.

The ’90s rapper, 48, is the latest to join the celeb-filled upcoming season, which will also star Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, Amber Rose, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Jake T. Austin, Maureen McCormick, Little Women: L.A. star Terra Jole, soap opera actress Emma Samms and Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte.

The “Ice Ice Baby” icon will clearly have an advantage, given his dance background, but he’s also not a stranger to reality TV.

Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, appeared on season 6 of the U.K.’s Dancing on Ice. He skated alongside pro Katie Stainsby and was eliminated during the sixth round.

He also landed his own reality series, The Vanilla Ice Project, on DIY Network in 2010.

The casting news comes just days after Us Weekly confirmed that DWTS pros Derek and Julianne Hough will be returning to the anticipated season after skipping the previous one. Derek will be back as a pro, and Julianne will be reprising her role as a judge on the panel.

ABC has yet to announce Vanilla Ice’s participation and reps for the show don't comment on casting rumors. The full lineup of competitors for season 23 of DWTS will be officially revealed on Good Morning America on Tuesday, August 30, and the competition starts on ABC Monday, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET.
