Was it really unwritten? The Hills alum Whitney Port spoke to Us Weekly exclusively to weigh in on Kristin Cavallari‘s previous claims that producers had a lot of say in what happened on the MTV series.
The fashion designer, 31, told Us at Daily Front Row‘s Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday, March 20, that Hills producers did not have as much say as her former costar has suggested. In a 2013 interview with Splash magazine, Cavallari, 29, said producers “did everything short of handing us a script.”
Port, wearing Kendra Scott earrings, explains: “I wouldn’t put it as staged. Sometimes we had to make some situations more dramatic for the sake of making an entertaining TV show. But it’s not like we were ever given scripts.”
The former City star also tells Us that tying the knot with Tim Rosenman in November 2015 has made their bond even stronger.
“So many people were like, ‘Nothing changes — it’s more of the same,’ because we already live together,” she says. “But there’s something unspoken that’s very, very special.”
