Say cheese! The King’s Head, a cocktail bar located on Fulham High Street in London, England, has plenty of typical bar food on the menu, including a hummus board and chicken nuggets, but one of the establishment’s burgers is truly unique.

Known simply as the The Cheese Lover, this interesting offering contains no “patty” at all, and is instead just a burger-sized wheel of Camembert cheese that has been coated in flour, eggs and a mixture of breadcrumbs and spices, and then deep-fried.

Once fried, the “burger” is then placed on a Brioche bun that’s been slathered in honey mustard, and topped with arugula and two slices of bacon. A toothpick is loosely inserted into the top bun to keep the meal together, but once customers bit into The Cheese Lover, the Camembert-filled patty erupts and spills everywhere.

It’s a good thing the “burger” comes with a side of fries, which can be used to soak up all that cheese!

Still, the meal is incredibly messy, which means neat eaters or those worried about burning their mouths on fried cheese might want to stay away. As one critic on Twitter wrote, “I love cheese but being scolded by exploding molten cheese isn’t my idea of lunch. I can feel the third degree burns on the roof of my mouth now.”

Added another: “Food is cancelled.”

However, others find this “burger’s” mess factor and intense cheese flavor incredibly appealing. “I’m such a messy eater anyway I would honestly paint myself in this burger,” wrote one Twitter user, while another simply stated: “I’ve never been hungrier.”
