Only the best for baby Sussex! At Duchess Meghan’s baby shower in New York City on Wednesday, February 22, guests were apparently treated to some seriously adorable cookies in advance of the little royal’s arrival.

Makeup artist Daniel Martin, who is close friends with the Duchess of Sussex, 37, and did her makeup for her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, shared a snapshot on Instagram that featured a trio of sweet treats. He captioned the photo, “Such an incredible day celebrating,” and added the hashtag “#babylove.” Martin, who disabled comments on the post, concluded it with three emojis showing confetti, a teddy bear and red balloon.

One cookie, which was made to look like a stork, featured the tall bird holding a newborn baby wrapped in a blanket in its beak. A second confection was decorated like a rattle with a bow tied around its handle, and that cookie also boasted some edible gold icing.

The third and final confection was made to look like a bib and featured the word “baby” written in black cursive on the front. While too cute for words, none of the three cookies seemingly offered any insight into the gender of baby Sussex, who is due in late April or early May.

As Us Weekly previously reported the Suits alum’s baby shower was held at The Mark Hotel. Attendees included Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Abigail Spencer, Jessica Mulroney and Lindsay Roth, and guests feasted on food and dessert prepared by award-winning chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

In addition to the high-brow eats, Meghan’s shower also featured something a bit more laid-back and playful. “There were cotton candy machines being brought in earlier this morning,” an insider told Us. “The same security who has been escorting Meghan in and out of the hotel was helping bring them in the side door.”

A few days earlier, Meghan, who has made no secret of her love of food, made a covert trip to the Soho outpost of Ladurée. The royal was spotted eating lunch at the eatery famous for its decadent macarons on Saturday, February 16, before shopping at children’s store Bonpoint.
