It doesn’t take much to impress Jessie James Decker! The singer recently revealed her husband Eric Decker’s “most romantic” gesture to date, and it turns out the way to Jessie’s heart is totally through her stomach.
“The most romantic thing [Eric] did for me in 2019? Honestly, probably this Christmas present he just got me,” Jessie 31, told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday, December 30, while promoting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020. “He does romantic stuff all the time, but he got me a pizza oven and I’ve been wanting a pizza oven for so long.”
As the fashion designer explained, the pizzas she makes in her regular oven are “fine,” but she was ready for an upgrade. “I really wanted a wood fire burning thing,” she said.
Luckily, with a little help from Jessie’s mom, Karen Parker, 32-year-old Eric got the hint. “I sent my mom an Instagram picture that I saw of an oven that was not anything you had to put into the house and so I was like, ‘Tell him I want this for Christmas when he asks you,’” the country crooner explained to Us. “And so I got it on Christmas morning!”
Not only was Jessie pleasantly surprised by her present, but it turns out she’s already put the new appliance to good use. “I was like ‘Yeah!’” she noted when recalling her reaction to the holiday gift. “We had pizzas a couple of nights ago.”
Pizza-making aside, the Just Jessie author is currently preparing to reveal the first-ever POWERBALL Millionaire of the Year during the live broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020 on Tuesday, December 31. The mother of three will provide updates throughout the show, then reveal the winner just after midnight, and she’s understandably psyched about the upcoming experience.
“I’m excited because this is something that I never dreamed would happen, that I’d get a call to be a part of this, and I just keep pinching myself,” she told Us. “I’m trying not to think too much about it because I will get nervous, but I think I’m just so excited that that’s all I can think about.”
