Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen wants to ensure its customers are happy and satiated when they celebrate Fat Tuesday on Tuesday, March 5, so the chain has released Mardi Gras beads that come equipped with a snack box full of tasty food you can wear around your neck.

Mardi Gras, which serves as a fun and food-filled send-off before the start of Lent, is typically celebrated with parades and masquerade balls in New Orleans, which just so happens to be the birthplace of Popeyes. That’s why, instead of giving customers those regular colorful necklaces that are a staple of the holiday, the chain has put its own twist on it.

Known as the Popeyes Mardi Gras Beadbox, this invention allows revelers to feast on chicken (or another Popeyes classic) while being able to hold a drink and celebrate at the same time. Meal options include: three piece chicken tenders with a side and a biscuit for $6, or a two-piece bone-in chicken with a side and biscuit for $5.

Since the holiday-themed box is attached to several strands of beads, which can be worn like normal necklaces, the result is a hands-free (and festive!) contraption that’s pretty darn clever.

“Don’t have enough hands to hold your drink and eat your Popeyes while walking the streets during Mardi Gras?,” the company said in a statement, according to USA Today. The beads have you covered because they can “hold any Popeyes meal that comes in a snack box.”

However, not all Popeyes fans will be able to get their hands on the restaurant’s latest gimmick. The Mardi Gras Beadboxes are only available on Fat Tuesday, and customers can only get them from the Popeyes on Canal Street in the Big Easy starting at 2 p.m. local time. A purchase of one of two select meals (mentioned above) is also required to celebrate in style.

The Mardi Gras Beadbox is just the latest fun invention Popeyes has come up with. In December 2018, the chain released emotional support chicken boxes designed to ease the anxiety of stressed holiday travelers, and in October the restaurant invented a 12-hour drive-thru option that allowed customers to place an order in Texas and retrieve it in New Orleans.
