Now that’s what you call a decadent dessert! Details and pictures of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding cake were revealed just hours after the couple tied the knot on Friday, October 12.
In a tweet alongside a series of photos showing the stunning dessert, The Duke of York announced that the pair chose a red velvet and chocolate cake that was designed by Sophie Cabot, a London-based baker.
The five-tiered treat featured vibrant red, green and orange leaf details, and was “inspired by the rich colours of autumn.” The base tier also had Eugenie and Brooksbank’s initials intertwined.
Eugenie, 28, tied the knot with her longtime love, 32-year-old Brooksbank, in a gorgeous fall celebration that took place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The princess stunned in a long-sleeved white gown, with her hair pulled back and topped with an emerald green tiara borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal family members in attendance included newlyweds Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, Prince William and wife Duchess Kate, the bride’s parents Duchess of York Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson and Prince Andrew, the queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte — William and Kate’s oldest children — looked adorable as they served as a page boy and a bridesmaid at the wedding.
Celebrities including Kate Moss, James Blunt, Demi Moore, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell and Liv Tyler also joined for the joyous celebration. Singer James Blunt performed a rendition of “Ave Maria” during the ceremony.
The newlyweds met when she was attending Newcastle University, and announced the news of their engagement in January.
