Just call her the cravings queen! In addition to her Cravings empire, Chrissy Teigen, who is expecting her third child with her husband, John Legend, is having some serious cravings of her own.
For example, on August 31 the Bring the Funny judge tweeted about one of her favorite late-night snacks. “Up and eating pounds of sour cream and onion ritz chips, a highly rated food in my household that I think only I own,” she wrote.
However, as far as pregnancy cravings go, there’s one food group that’s clearly won the model’s heart — sour candies, such as Sour Straws and Blow Pops. In fact, Teigen’s desire for that tart taste got so intense that potions of her tongue actually began to peel off. “[I’m] eating so much sour candy that my tongue is falling off,” she shared via her Instagram Stories on August 27.
The cookware designer then warned the squeamish and showed the camera what appeared to be a piece of skin from the surface of her tongue. Then she stuck out her tongue to prove that it was, in fact, peeling thanks to her sour candy habit. As she put it at the time, “It’s literally falling off because I eat so much in the night. I eat Sour Straws, I suck on them. Then after them, I have my Blow Pops and it’s just falling off — my tongue.”
Us Weekly confirmed on August 13 that Teigen is having baby No. 3, after she debuted her baby bump in Legend’s “Wild” music video the same day.
The Lip Sync Battle cohost opened up about the exciting news 24 hours later and revealed that she was “scared” at the start of the pregnancy because she learned she was expecting shortly after undergoing breast implant removal surgery earlier in the summer.
“I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative,” the Utah native tweeted on August 14, explaining her pregnancy timeline.
A few weeks after her surgery, in June, she took another pregnancy test and it came back positive. From that moment on, Teigen said she “prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay.”
The Cravings founder noted that she is still “very worried” about this pregnancy, since she got pregnant with her and Legend’s other children, daughter Luna and son Miles, through in vitro fertilization.
