The Cravings author has some serious pregnancy cravings! Chrissy Teigen, who is pregnant and expecting her third child with husband John Legend, revealed that she’s had a yen for some pretty interesting foods lately.
The Bring the Funny judge, 34, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, August 26, to share a peek at some of the snacks she had stashed by her bed. “Tonight’s pregnancy nightstand mix is brought to you by Blow Pop Minis,” she explained, referencing the package of fruit-flavored candies on the table. “I’m really crazy addicted to Blow Pops right now — mainly green apple.”
The Chrissy’s Court host’s nightly cravings included some savory snacks as well. “Also, ham and cheddar Lunchables,” she added.
Since pregnant women are advised to stay away from cold cuts because they may potentially carry harmful bacteria that can affect a fetus, Teigen explained her unusual way of eating the school lunch staple. “I heat up each piece of the meat so I don’t get listeria, because you’re not supposed to have deli meat [while] pregnant,” she noted.
The previous day, the cookware designer had a slightly different nighttime meal in mind. “Making one breakfast sandwich for dinner and a BLT for nightstand sammy,” she tweeted on Tuesday, August 25.
Us Weekly confirmed on August 13 that Teigen is having baby No. 3, after she debuted her baby bump in 41-year-old Legend’s “Wild” music video the same day.
The Lip Sync Battle cohost opened up about the exciting news 24 hours later and revealed that she was “scared” at the start of the pregnancy because she learned she was expecting shortly after undergoing breast implant removal surgery earlier in the summer.
“I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative,” the Utah native tweeted on August 14, explaining her pregnancy timeline.
A few weeks after her surgery, in June, she took another pregnancy test and it came back positive. From that moment on, Teigen said she “prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay.”
The Cravings founder noted that she is still “very worried” about this pregnancy, since she got pregnant with the pair’s other children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2, through in vitro fertilization.
On Wednesday, she shared a look at her bump via her Instagram Stories. “Wow, third baby, goes fast,” she mused. “How is this possible?”
In the clip, the pregnant mother of two put her growing bump on display, wearing only a kimono, which highlighted her size. Teigen also showed some side boob as she held onto her belly and kept the cover-up from exposing the rest of her body.
